The Last Dance and Doo at the Ice Rink Framed Print A3 Edition of 50

£140.00

The Last Dance

Circa ’87

End of year party as Acid House started to take hold and a new venue -the Astoria Theatre beckoned. Nicky’s 1987 new great DJ lineup and a great night it was too.

Originally: Rub down letraset lettering; hand drawn figure and SB logo; single colour A5 artwork printed onto pale green paper all in the already established style of Special Branch flyers.

Doo at the Ice Rink

Circa ’88

The last of a long list of Nicky Holloway’s ‘Doos’ in unusual venues. Yes they brought their skates and yes they danced on ice. Usual Doo DJ line up.

Originally: Letraset and photocopier for this one. Found the cartoon in a vintage magazine and added the skates to the figures. Dark blue on light blue A5 size paper.

Giclee print on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Paper.

Edition of 50.

Please note, all prints are produced digitally using high-resolution scans from original flyers. These however, were produced using pre-digital processes. Whilst care has been taken to ‘clean up’ various imperfections, the original quality has been retains thus lettering/text is not always ‘pin-sharp’.
